Massage occupies manipulation of the body with pressure done by hand or with perfunctory aids. It can be applied with the hands, fingers, elbows, forearm, and feet. While using this therapy the patient is laid on a table, seated in a chair, or lying on a mat on the floor. The patient may be fully or partly unclothed. Parts of the body may be covered with towels or sheets.
