Tanzania is a big importers of Japanese used Vehicles in Africa. Recently Tanzania Government have changed the regulations for importing used Japanese cars. Pre-shipment inspection by Cotecna Inspections is now necessary for importing used Japanese cars to Tanzania. Used cars from Japan are popular in Tanzania because of their stylish looks, quality and reliability. There are many legal requirements for importing Japanese used cars into Tanzania. JAAI and Cotecna Inspections are mandatory prior to shipment of vehicles to Tanzania. Import duty, Excise duty and Vat also need to be paid for all used cars exported to Tanzania.
